Elisa and Maria have been busy putting together toddler activities for learning colors and shapes. Recently, Leland learned the color purple and the shape of a rectangle. We would like to share four of Leland's favorite PURPLE week activities!

PAINT DOTTING
Leland was getting bored of painting with a brush, so we gave him a BIG dotter brush! He loved it so much! Leland had grapes for purple week, so we thought we should paint some grapes, too!

MAGAZINE CUTOUTS
In magazines, we found purple pictures, and while Leland was coloring he glued some pictures on the paper. There are so many variations of this craft, such as cutting out pictures to make a face.
WATER TRANSFER/ MIXING
Leland LOVES this activity. We have different forms of droppers for him to use, and we dye the water different colors each time. This activity is great for developing fine motor skills by using the water dropper and pouring the water to each cup!

Balloon Fun
This is a great activity for your child to use up some energy! Leland likes to keep the balloon from touching the ground. Using static electricity, we put it on the ceiling fan. When the fan starts spinning is when the fun starts! Leland waits for the balloon to fall, so he can catch it.
Hopefully this will inspire you to have your own Purple Week with your littles!
